Masks required for early Shabbos minyan (8 am)

At other services masks are strongly encouraged, per the synagogue's medical committee's guidelines of August 22:
“We continue to see an increasing rate of Covid-19 infections in Kings County. We are also seeing a greater risk of infection with the Delta variant among vaccinated people than with prior variants, and, more importantly, there appears to be a small but real increase in the risk of hospitalization among vaccinated individuals. There may be waning of vaccine-induced immunity, particularly among the elderly, that increases after 6 months. We therefore strongly encourage people to mask in shul until this wave recedes, particularly individuals who are immunocompromised, elderly or received their second vaccine dose more than 6 months ago. A third dose of mRNA vaccine for the immunocompromised is now available, and can significantly improve protection. A third dose for the elderly, which will be available mid September, has also been shown to dramatically enhance protection against the Delta variant in Israel.”
